Rufus Brown

Rufus is a proud Johnston County native of 52 years and currently resides in the McGees Crossroads area with his wife, Sarah. Their son, RJ, is finishing his last semester of college with a Cyber Security degree at Maryville University - St. Louis MO. Rufus is a 1985 graduate of South Johnston High School and a 1989 graduate of UNCW with a BS degree in Accounting. In his free time, Rufus enjoys hunting and participating in field trials with his boykin spaniels, Mojo and Timber. He also has served as a leader with BSA Troop 64 and the Tuscarora Council. Rufus and Sarah are active members of Hickory Grove Advent Christian church in Four Oaks. Rufus was manager of Johnston County Hams in Smithfield for over 30 years - where he honed his skills of developing and maintaining loyal, long term personal relationships by following the golden rule of quality customer service - treat your customers well and exceed their expectations.
